A Journey That Began With Passion

John Papageorgiou, an olive oil expert and sommelier, and his wife Rania spent years searching across Greece for the most authentic, exceptional olive oils. Their quest led them to the slopes above Diodia in Messenia - groves situated over 1,000 feet above sea level, just 12 kilometers from the sea.

Here, they found what they had been searching for: olive oil that captured the true essence of Greece. Oil that was fresh, pure, and produced with the same methods that have been trusted for generations.

Carol Rogers Papaletsos spent 20 years living in Greece, falling in love with the Mediterranean way of life. She believed that American families deserved access to the same authentic Greek oils she had come to cherish.

Together with John and Rania, she built EVGE - a bridge connecting the ancient groves of Kalamata directly to kitchens across America.

Our groves aren't just "from Kalamata." They grow on the slopes above the town of Diodia, in Messenia, Greece, a landscape dotted with olive trees that have nourished families for centuries.
